Your goals give company decisions a direction. Phase 1 helps you describe that direction, understand value and build a working collection of plans and decisions.
Module 1. Ownership Goals
Use the Owner’s Scorecard to define time and role, cash-flow targets and sources, and net-worth and valuation goals. Keep salary for your work distinct from ownership distributions and income from other assets.
The Scorecard defines your outcomes. The North Star later connects the coming year’s company direction and priorities to those outcomes. They have different jobs.
Module 2. Expand Knowledge
Understand the value of keeping the business, the market’s view of value and the proceeds a particular transaction could produce. Assumptions, risk, debt, taxes and terms affect the answer. A headline valuation is not the cash an owner receives.
Module 3. Owner’s Playbook
Bring the company’s direction into the Value Growth Plan and keep it connected through quarterly and monthly reviews. The Playbook holds The Plan, The Numbers, Your Leadership Team and The Rhythm. Actual use, decisions and follow-through matter alongside the documents.
Use the plan while the financial foundation develops
Goals, learning and useful drafting can proceed while records are gathered or an older model is reviewed. Keep decisions that depend on unresolved financial work provisional. The 90-Day Boardroom Blueprint provides guided work toward a first usable Playbook; it is a program that applies the method, not a guarantee that every milestone is installed in three months.
