The Tuesday Flywheel is iBD’s monthly sequence of three functional reviews followed by the owner-and-CEO meeting. The CEO first brings revenue, finances and delivery into one company picture, then connects that picture to ownership goals and decisions.
The order has a purpose
| Tuesday | Meeting | Main question |
|---|---|---|
| First | CRO and CEO | What do revenue, customers and the sales outlook require? |
| Second | CFO and CEO | What do financial results, cash and the forecast allow? |
| Third | COO and CEO | What can delivery, margins and capacity support? |
| Fourth | Owner and CEO | What does the combined recommendation mean for Time, Cash Flow and Wealth? |
The role colors stay consistent: CRO medium blue, CFO light blue, COO dark blue and CEO near black. Their colors identify the responsibility; they do not change with the order of a diagram or annual budgeting exercise.
Use the same functional agenda
Each of the first three meetings uses the 60-minute functional agenda: the win, dashboard, assessments, Game Plan, bottleneck and commitment. The leader brings results and a recommendation; the CEO questions, supports and holds them accountable. Review the function’s improvement priority and the person’s development priority separately.
The CEO takes five minutes privately afterward to record what the leader demonstrated and what to reinforce or coach. The fourth meeting uses the separate owner-and-CEO agenda, also starting at 60 minutes. It considers the integrated result and your current Game Plan.
Apply it to the people carrying the work today
One person may hold several responsibilities. Name the role being exercised rather than waiting to hire three executives or treating every issue as your personal task. Arrange the actual review dates around the reporting cycle while retaining preparation before the ownership conversation.
The company’s meeting method is distinct from iBD’s community coaching session schedule. Event times and workshop substitutions belong in the current community calendar; a longer coaching event does not change the company’s agenda duration.
Carry the work through the quarter
Keep standing dashboards, responsibilities and assessments in Your Leadership Team. Keep each month’s review and commitments in The Rhythm. The CEO resolves dependencies across functions before asking ownership for a decision.
The Quarterly Boardroom uses those records to close the quarter and adopt the next plan. Annual planning develops the coming year, with its separate Owner, CEO, CRO, COO and CFO working order. Those different sequences serve different jobs.
