The Monthly Ownership Meeting™ is the owner-and-CEO review that connects company performance and the current 90-Day Game Plan to your Time, Cash Flow and Wealth goals. It is the fourth meeting in the monthly rhythm, after the CRO, CFO and COO reviews.
The CEO brings the company picture
The CEO combines the three functions’ results, recommendations and competing demands. You consider that recommendation against your ownership goals, available capital and current plan. If you hold both roles, review each responsibility explicitly. A coach or adviser can help where appropriate; separate executive hires are not required to begin.
Prepare the financial pre-read and relevant reports at least three business days ahead. Confirm the reporting period and limitations. The meeting uses the current Scorecard, North Star and Game Plan rather than creating another set of goals.
Plan for three to five business days; earlier delivery counts when the information remains current.
Three parts, with a decision at the end
The final meeting agenda begins with 60 minutes:
- Ground as owner, 15 minutes. Review goals, current results, cash and forecast. Record your opening Alignment ratings.
- Review progress, 20 minutes. Check the Game Plan’s three outcomes against evidence. Hear the CEO’s explanation, recommendation and support needed.
- Make decisions, 25 minutes. Continue, change or defer with a reason. Name who acts and when the result returns. Record closing Alignment ratings.
Allow more time when the decisions require it. Keep operating execution with the person responsible and address urgent decisions before their deadlines. The next quarterly meeting is not a reason to defer something that cannot wait.
Keep the current plan and dated review connected
Keep the functional takeaways, Game Plan check-in, bottleneck, monthly commitment and closing review in the dated meeting record. Reuse the current working pages rather than entering the same answers twice. The CEO’s individual leadership debriefs stay private.
The current Game Plan stays in The Plan. Completed monthly reviews and decisions stay in The Rhythm. Adopted changes return to the appropriate current instrument, while the dated record preserves what was decided and why.
Scheduling or preparing one meeting does not establish an installed practice. Milestone 9’s checklist and scoring guide govern its required evidence across three consecutive months. Honest Alignment ratings are separate from milestone scores.
