The 90-Day Game Plan™ turns one quarterly priority into three outcomes you can review each month. It states what must be true at day 90, who is responsible, when the work is due and what evidence will show it is done.
Choose the priority from your Roadmap evidence in support of the annual North Star and longer Scorecard goals. The lowest milestone score informs the choice; it does not make it for you.
Why This Matters for You
The Game Plan makes the next quarter specific enough to discuss, assign and review. “Improve forecasting” leaves room for different expectations. A named person maintaining a supported monthly forecast by an agreed date gives you a result to check.
How It Works
The one-page tool identifies the quarter, dates and plan lead. It records the selected milestone, the One Thing, the day-90 result and three rows of Outcome, Done When, Who and Due. Support & Obstacles names the help or resources required and what could prevent the result.
The M1, M2 and M3 spaces hold status at the quarter’s three monthly reviews. Leave them blank until the review happens. Supporting evidence and decisions belong in that month’s meeting record.
A finished outcome and an installed milestone are different judgments. Check the milestone’s own completion requirements before changing its Roadmap score.
Keep one current plan through the quarter
Agree on the plan at the Quarterly Boardroom and keep the current version in The Plan. Record the agreement, decision date and next review in the dated quarterly record. Monthly reviews use the same commitments; detailed execution tasks stay in the team’s normal operating process.
At quarter end, compare the promised outcomes with what happened. Preserve the outgoing plan when adopting the next one. A priority may continue when the next outcomes and the reason are clear.
