The iBD Alignment Score™ is your self-reported clarity about the path to your Time, Cash Flow and Wealth goals. Rate each dimension using 1 for no visibility, 4 for somewhat clear and 7 for very clear. When all three are answered, the ratings total 3 to 21. Keep a missing answer open rather than entering zero or calculating a complete total.

What you are rating

DimensionThe question
TimeCan I explain the role and weekly life I want, and what needs to change to get there?
Cash FlowCan I explain how much income I need, where it will come from and what supports that plan?
WealthCan I explain my current position, my wealth goal and the business contribution required?

You are rating your understanding, not how close the actual result is to the goal. An owner can understand a substantial shortfall clearly. Another can have strong results but little understanding of what will sustain them.

Use the rating to find the next useful question

Record the rating and the reason for uncertainty in the current ownership review. A low Cash Flow rating might mean you cannot explain whether the company can fund distributions after hiring your replacement. The useful next step is to test that assumption, not to raise the rating because the meeting went well.

The monthly owner-and-CEO record includes before-and-after ratings. Quarterly reviews revisit the same clarity alongside your goals and evidence. An unchanged or lower rating is valid when you discover something important you do not yet understand.

Keep the scores separate

The Owner’s Scorecard holds your goals. Alignment records your clarity. The Velocity Score totals evidence-based milestone scores. Do not convert one into another or use a clarity rating to mark a milestone installed.

Twenty-one out of 21 describes complete clarity on this scale. It is an aspiration for understanding, not a required response or proof that a forecast will happen. Your AI or coach can help examine the reasoning; your own rating remains yours.
